History

Sschaaronn was a Man-Serpent in the service of Thoth-Amon, wizard of Stygia, and was the brother of Ssarbaarix.[1]

Thoth-Amon had a bowl containing Sschaarronn anonymously carried to Hanumar to slay Karanthes, priest of Ibis. The Stygian carriers delivered it to the Hall of Relics of Numalia, from where other carriers were to take it to Hanumar. Indebted Lady Aztrias tasked Conan to steal the content of the bowl, believed to be a treasure.

Entering the Hall of Relics, Conan found the owner, Kallian, dead. Cornered by Arus, Kallian's nightwatch, Conan was soon surrounded by the City Guard and accused of the murder by Demetrio, chief inquisitor, Dionus, Prefect of the City Guard, and Lady Aztrias herself. Meanwhile Arus resumed his patrol and stumbled upon Sschaaronn who swiftly killed him. The party investigated the chamber and battled (or fled) the monster.

After Sschaaronn slew Lady Aztrias and many guards, and wounded Demetrio, it was killed by Conan.[2] Sschaaronn's visage often came to him in nightmares over the next few days.[3]
