Personal History

Quote1 I wanted to come up with something totally different. I thought it would fun to invent someone as powerful as, or perhaps even more powerful than, the Incredible Hulk. But how do you make someone stronger than the strongest human? It finally came to me: Don't make him human — make him a god. ... Quote2
Stan Lee's perspective of Thor's genesis from Excelsior!: The Amazing Life of Stan Lee (2002)

Stanley Lieber ( He would later change his name to Stan Lee.) was born on December 28, 1922. He was the co-creator of such popular characters as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, The Avengers, and many more. One of his last creation's was She-Hulk. He is still alive today at the age of 88. The first issue that Stan Lee ever wrote was Captain America Comics #3. He wanted to leave around the time he wrote F.F. The only reason that he wrote the book was because his wife told him "do it your way. The worst they can do is fire you. And you want to quit any ways!"

When Spider-Man traveled into different dimensions, he soon came into one where he was a fictional superhero and Stan Lee was his creator. He took Lee for a 'ride' around town and chatted with him a little before leaving him on top of a building. Stan jokingly remarked that maybe he should wait for the Fantastic Four to come get him down.[1]
