Stanley "Stan" Carter is a uniformed police detective partnered with Officer Jean DeWolff. Carter expressed a short temper with Max Dillon aka Electro after he refuses to return to the hospital.

Sergeant Carter shows support of Spider-Man's activities, as opposed to his partner, even barricading a construction area so Spider-Man can finish fighting Sandman. Though, at one point, he express his opinion that Spider-Man hasn't gone far enough dealing with the criminals.
