Star Child[src]

The Star Child is a juvenile Celestial who was born in the Sun.[1] He was brought to the Immortal City by Leonardo da Vinci and was raised by the Brotherhood of the Shield.[2] However, at age four, he went mad when he discovered Isaac Newton's Quiet Math, the mathematical proof that the world will end in 2060.[3]

History

Celestials' counterparts are interconnected aspects of themselves and not separate beings. Thus, the Star Child of Earth-616 is one aspect of the true Star Child.[4]

First words

The Star Child was an infant Celestial retrieved by a time-travelling, spacefaring Leonardo da Vinci from the Sun in 1956. He was the first Celestial to ever be born through child birth. His mother had went there in 114 AD to grant him the nourishment needed for his birth.[1] Leonardo brought the baby Celestial to the Immortal City where he was raised by the Brotherhood of the Shield.[2]

Battling the Brotherhood of the Shield after going insane due to Isaac Newton's ideology

Leonardo's presence caused a schism in the Brotherhood between himself and its current leader, the immortal Sir Isaac Newton, which broke out into war four years later in 1960.[5] Leonardo believed men can choose their destiny while Newton believed that they cannot and that the world will inevitably end. When the young Leonid sided with Leonardo, Newton used Leonardo's time machine to escape into the future.[6] Following this, the Star Child discovered the Quiet Math in Newton's study, which drove him insane and caused him to go berserk. Michelangelo stopped the rampage by reasoning with him and the Star Child went to the future to the same destination as Newton: the year 2060.[7]

With Newton

Members of the Brotherhood followed them with the Human Machine into three different versions of 2060. Newton and the Star Child, apparently under Newton's command, attacked the interlopers across all three timelines. Although they suffered heavy losses, the Brotherhood managed to defeat the Star Child. An ascended Leonid offered Newton the opportunity to live out his desire for the world's end in an alternate Earth, and the Star Child joined him there.[8]
