History

The Stark Industries Board of Directors was the Council of Shareholders and Directors which oversee Stark Industries' activities and operations.[1][3] Founded by Chairman and C.E.O. Howard Stark, Stark Industries' President Obadiah Stane became interim Chairman and C.E.O. after his death in a car crash, before Howard's son, Tony Stark, stepped in as both Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board at the age of 21.[1]

When Tony discovered that Stane, stepped back as President, was secretly selling Stark Industries' weapons to the Ten Rings terrorist organization in Afghanistan, tried to face him, Obadiah wore an updated version of Stark's first Iron Man Armor and clashed against Tony, dying in the battle.[1]

Tony then decided to retire as both C.E.O. and Chairman, handing over those positions to his Executive Assistant Pepper Potts; although she resigned after a little time,[4] Pepper decided to regain her roles after the Battle of New York.[5]
