Professional History

An Italian artist, Stefano Caselli made his debut in the world of American comics in the early 2000s, first penciling Thunderbolts #170 for Marvel Comics. He also worked briefly for Harris (Vampirella #22), Image Comics (Micronauts), and more exstensively for Devil's Due (Hack/Slash and G.I. Joe) before signing en exclusive contract for Marvel.

His earliest long-term work included Civil War: Young Avengers and Runaways, Avengers: The Initiative and Secret Warriors. He became one of writer Dan Slott's collaborators during the early years of his Amazing Spider-Man run, and drew several issues of Avengers (Vol. 5), as well as its spin-off Avengers World. He later penciled the near-entirety of both All-New Inhumans #1 and Invincible Iron Man (Vol. 4), and the early issues of West Coast Avengers (Vol. 3). After an assortment of miscellaneous issues and stints as fill-in artist, he launched X-Men: Red (Vol. 2) with writer Al Ewing and became the book's main penciler.
