History
Stephen Strange was injured in a road accident, which meant that he could not pursue his career as a doctor. In desperation, he visited the Ancient One for help, hoping to find a cure for himself. The Ancient One told him to study under him and possibly find a cure through himself, but he wasn't satisfied. As he left, Strange encountered Baron Mordo, the Ancient One's student, and discovered that he planned to destroy his master and take his place. However, the Ancient One had figured out Mordo's plot and defeated him, taking Strange on as his new student, and they hoped to one day defeat Mordo altogether, and the evil Dormammu which he stood for. Doctor Strange eventually became an experienced sorcerer, and took Wong as his sidekick.
He and Wong teamed up with Spider-Man to stop Baron Mordo from releasing Dormammu.[1]
When the Phoenix rises up into the sky, Doctor Strange is one of the many people shown sensing it's tremendous power.[2]
During Magneto's global blackout, Doctor Strange went to a hospital to put his medical expertise to use and performed surgery with sorcery, because he had not yet completed his healing journey that started after that accident. [3]Paraphernalia
