History
After Dormammu obtained the Reality Stone, he used it's power to begin to merge Earth with the Dark Dimension. Dormammu took control of Doctor Strange and used him to help reach this goal. Strange was later freed from Dormammu's control and joined the heroes searching for the scattered Infinity Stones in an attempt to stop Thanos from reclaiming them.[1]
