During one night duty at the Stark Mansion, Cap heard a robbery alarm coming from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and decided to intervene before the police. There he came across and challenged Conan, but the barbarian defeated him, although sparing his life. Contacted again by Conan, he went to meet him at a certain spot in the South Bronx, unwillingly followed by the police, who was trying to arrest Conan and his gang of Barbarians. After Ajujo was killed, Cap respected Conan's prowess and offered him to join the Avengers.[1]
