Steve Rogers was a geek who enlisted in the United States Army during World War II. After being given the Super-Soldier Serum, he became the super-soldier known as Captain America. He was frozen and thawed out during the Heroic Age.[1]

He was one of the superheroes that fought against the Doombots that attacked New York City. He was credited as saving the city after Spider-Man deactivated the bots.[2]

Spidey Vol 1 10 Textless

While patrolling Brooklyn, Captain America found Spider-Man and suggested he accompany him on his patrol. The two were ambushed by an A.I.M. cell, but even with M.O.D.O.K. aiding them, they were no match for the heroes. The next day, he learned that the Daily Bugle published an article falsely accusing Spider-Man of being an A.I.M. agent. Outraged, Cap stormed into J. Jonah Jameson, The Bugle's editor-in-chief's, office and forced him to publish the real story.[1]

Captain America was among the heroes that aided in halting Galactus's invasion of Earth and driving him from the planet.[3]
