Daredevil caught Stewart Nagle, a mob thug, having a secret conversation with mayoral candidate Councilman Bill Doyle and overheard them talking about the Father Mullen problem. After Karen Page, on Matt Murdock's instructions, managed to photograph Doyle in conversation with Nagle, Foggy Nelson went to his office telling him that he had proof that he was corrupt, but did not notice that Nagle was behind him and hit him with the butt of the gun, stunning him. Managing to get a stay of the trial about the church lease, Matt followed Doyle to the church where Foggy and Father Mullen were being tied up and beaten by Stewart Nagle and his men. Daredevil intervened by defeating the criminals and freeing the couple.[1]
