History

The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, better known as S.H.I.E.L.D., was a law-enforcement organization with a facility located in Brooklyn. When Miles Morales developed spider-like powers as a result of being bitten by a genetically modified spider, Spider-Man took him to their Brooklyn facility so they could analyze his DNA and determine the origin of the spider.
