History
The history of S.H.I.E.L.D. was identical to that of its Earth-199999 counterpart until Janet Van Dyne contracted a quantum virus that corrupted her brain, turning her into a zombie. When Hank went to the quantum realm to rescue Janet, she infected him, and they both returned to the normal-sized world and spread the virus. During the apocalypse, their bases were overwhelmed by zombie hordes, seemingly leaving no agent alive or uninfected. A device was also created to communicate with the Nova Corps.[1]
After the collapse of SHIELD, some of its bases were taken over, such as Camp Lehigh, where Vision settled, where he held Wanda captive and found a cure for the virus using the Mind Stone, however, Vision died and the camp was filled with zombies.[2] Meanwhile, the North Institute was taken over by Melina Vostokoff, Alexei Shostakov, Yelena Belova and some Black Widows as a refuge, using the Red Room technology to brainwash many zombies using them as camouflage, some time later, the base was destroyed after the siege of the Red Queen's army.[1]
Five years later, a SHIELD agent had an intergalactic communicator that he would use to call the Nova Corps, however, he became infected and his Quinjet crashed in New York where Kamala, Kate and Riri found the device.[1]
It is unknown if SHIELD is still active.Paraphernalia
