- I was mistaken when I said it made no difference on which side I fought. You have convinced me otherwise -- with your mad ranting of a 'master race' and 'subhumans.' Earlier tonight, I weakened -- and let this U-boat live to fight again. I will not make that mistake a second time!

Synopsis for "Sub-Mariner"
September 1940, in New York Harbor, Namor finds a German U-boat launching a torpedo at a British freighter. He diverts the torpedo and at first direct it back at the submarine, but at the last minute sending it exploding harmlessly at the ocean floor. This is witnessed by Betty Dean, who criticizes Namor for sparing the Nazi U-boat. Namor admits that he spared them because they are human like him. An argument ensues between him and Betty until the former decide that he has enough of getting involved in humanity's war and affairs.
Namor enter a German-ethnic bar where he meets Ursula, a Nazi spy. She tries to recruit him to fighting for the Nazi cause and stating that he is the ideal "super-man." Namor is seemingly convinced and Ursula direct him to the same German U-boat, U-235, to help destroying a British freighter. After Namor enters the submarine, he then asks the captain if his crew are loyal Nazis as Ursula. The captain confirms so. Upon hearing this, Namor is glad to know this as he then begins tearing the submarine apart. He is content to know from Ursula that he is mistaken to believe that he made no difference on which side he fought, as Ursula's mad ramblings of a "master race" and "subhumans" had convinced him otherwise. As the submarine begins to take on water, Ursula begs Namor to save only her. But Namor dispassionately leaves her to her fate.
Namor reunites with Betty and telling her that he destroyed the U-boat and everyone aboard because it had to be done. Those people were evil, but still living beings.

Synopsis for "Vergeltungswaffe!"
1939, Namor and Thakorr observed the outbreak of World War II in Europe. The Sub-Mariner doesn't care about the war and callously hope that the war would drive the surface-dwellers to destroy themselves. However, Nazi Germany are expanding their war to the seas and thus endangering Atlantis. Thakorr dispatch Namor to a Nazi-controlled island in the tropical south seas where experimental weapons are being developed and tested on the kingdom's reefs for target practice.
Upon arriving to the island, Namor redirect a airborne missile and sending it right back at the island. But Namor becomes overconfident and is rendered unconscious by the concussive force of torpedoes launched from a U-boat. He is captured and placed inside a dry glass chamber. Fortunately, Namor is soon set free by Jenny Keaton, an American airplane pilot held prisoner by the island's commander General Grebling. Grebling desperately takes Keaton hostage and warning Namor that he will kill her. But Namor tells Grebling that he doesn't care for the woman's safety. This cause Grebling to panic and allowing Namor to kill the General. The Sub-Mariner was only bluffing to save Keaton and is in fact impressed by her courage to save his life.
Namor lures a kraken to flood the Nazi subterranean base and forcing the Nazis to relocate their Vergeltungswaffe program to Peenemünde. He then repays Keaton by repairing her plane and start to rethink his views on surface-dwellers.
