King Sumuabi wanted mercenary soldiers to perform missions for him, prompting Conan to look for wealth there.[4]

He was killed in Akkharia and his head was mounted on a pike, after the city was conquered by the Asgaluni led by King Mazdak.[5]

Conan the Barbarian #91 stated that Sumuabi was king of Anakia, while Conan the Barbarian #112, Savage Sword of Conan #36, Conan the Barbarian #112, and Conan the Barbarian #262 stated it was of Akkharia/Akkaria. It is unknown if it is an error, or if Sumuabi indeed ruled the two cities.
