Two Sunbeasts can be seen pulling the chariot that Llyra's Lemurian allies used when they kidnapped Lady Dorma.[2]
The Sunbeast appeared in the "The Running of the Beasts", an Atlantean tradition. Along with the other beasts, it got out of the Atlanteans control and went on a rampage, until Namor, his visiting allies, and Atlantean warriors brought them under control.[1]Habitat
