Super-Sentinels originated as superpowered beings created by Weapon Plus using Nano-Sentinel technology and artificially evolved at The World. Three of these creations were chosen to form the mutant-hunting team, which was intended to be presented to the public as a group of superheroes in order to make the extermination of mutantkind look "like a Saturday morning cartoon".[1]

The Sublime bacterium helped create The World, a facility originally based in Britain that warped time to grow and develop an entire civilization solely for the production of Super-Soldiers. The result was to be a team called the "Super-Sentinels", products of a "mating" between their human "Mother" and a machine.[2] This team was intended to be a publicity stunt that would commercialize the genocide of mutants as part of a reality show. This was supposed to make it more palatable to the public.[1]
Weapons[]
Weapon Plus created Weapon XII, Huntsman, the first living weapon created (he was accidentally unleashed on the Channel Tunnel and fought X-Corporation, being eventually eliminated by Fantomex);[3] Weapon XIII, Fantomex (he was created at the facility, but rebelled and escaped);[4] and Weapon XV, Ultimaton, their "ultimate" creation (he was designed to be the Super-Sentinels' grand powerhouse).[5]
