Synopsis for "...And One Will Fall"
Resuming his civilian life, Peter, with the help of Flash, moves his stuff into his new apartment and meets his new neighbor Gloria "Glory" Grant. That night when finally by himself, Peter uses his scientific skills to remove the device. Free of its control, Peter changes into Spider-Man and seeks out Jameson. Startling his bitter foe in his sleep, Spider-Man convinces him to explain why the Grizzly was after him: year ago, Jameson's editorials about the Grizzly's unethical and violent wrestling moves shifted public opinion on the subject. The Wrestling Federation which employed the Grizzly probed into his conduct, and eventually fired him. With the information he needs (including the Grizzly's real name) Spider-Man leaves Jameson's home, the whole experience riling Jameson up once more over Spider-Man's conduct.
Realizing that someone like the Grizzly would be known around the gyms in the city, Spider-Man asks around until he finds the gym which he used to frequent. Sure enough, the Grizzly is there and the two are locked in a battle. During their fight, Spider-Man realizes that the key to the Grizzly's superior strength is his costume. He then takes it apart piece by piece, until all that's left is just Maxwell Markham. Spider-Man easily defeats him and leaves him for the authorities.Appearing in "A Time of Evil!"

Synopsis for "A Time of Evil!"
Furious that his half-brother has seized the throne through evil means, Thor lashes out at Loki, who easily knocks the Thunder God back with his magical powers (which have been increased now that he wears the Odinring.) Sif and Balder also join the fight, but Loki also easily defeats them as well.
As Thor and Loki battle on, Loki creates a magical gauntlet that flies under it's own power, and has it seize Thor's hammer and beat the Thunder God with his own weapon. With Thor being beaten senseless, Sif begs Loki to stop, and Loki agrees to do so, but only if Sif agrees to be his bride. In order to save Thor from death, Loki summons the Warriors Three (who were elsewhere in the universe in a battle) to Asgard and they attempt to destroy the gauntlet themselves. They succeed when they redirect it so that it flies towards Loki and Karnilla, prompting Loki to destroy it before it can strike him.
With the battle over, Loki then uses his superior power to immobilize both Thor and the Warriors Three and taunts them. He and Karnilla create a powerful being called Durok the Destroyer, a mystical humanoid that has superior strength than Thor. Thor breaks free and attempts to attack Durok, however the being suddenly teleports away.
Loki boasts that he has sent Durok to Earth, and Thor furiously follows after the creature. With Thor gone, Loki boasts that Durok will be the destruction of the Thunder God.Appearing in "Even Heroes Die!"

Late December, 1941: The Invaders fly over a battle-ravaged London in an Atlantean aircraft and engage a squad of Nazi bombers. When the RAF arrives to help, Cap and Bucky land their plane amidst a burning section of the city to help on the ground. There, they spot a mysterious golden-haired, golden-eyed woman in antiquated dress.
Part Two "A Valkyrie Rising!"[]
The woman is walking around the burning ruins in a daze. Captain America dives in to knock her out of the way of a collapsing structure, knocking loose a glowing ring that seems important but the woman has no memory of it or anything else. Cap pockets the ring and the British army leads them to a strategy session on how to deal with Brain Drain. The woman recalls Brain Drain's name, as well as her own, Hilda. When shown a map, Hilda points out where she thinks she came from. The Invaders set out for the location, but Cap orders Bucky to remain behind as liason.
Part Three "Beyond the Siegfried Line!"[]
The Invaders and Hilda fly their Atlantean aircraft into German territory looking for Brain Drain's base, but are knocked out of the sky by a flying battleaxe. The heroes manage to each make it to the ground safely, where they are confronted by Donar, Froh, and Loga, Teutonic warrior gods of thunder, lightning, and fire.Appearing in "And Spidey Makes Four!"

Synopsis for "And Spidey Makes Four!"
Meanwhile, the Wizard, Sandman, and Trapster have reunited and have begun looking for a new member to induct into the Frightful Four to get revenge on the Fantastic Four. Seeing Spider-Man swing by, the Wizard and his cohorts attack and put Spider-Man under a trance.
Using Spider-Man as a means to get the Torch's guard down, the Frightful Four knock out the Torch and take control of the Baxter Building. Examining Reed Richard's devices, the Wizard accidentally opens the Negative Zone portal in such a way that it empowers Annihilus with more energy. Annihilus then seeks to break free into the positive matter universe to take it over, with only the Wizard trying to keep the creature at bay.
The Torch breaks free, and snaps Spider-Man out of his trance, the two then defeat the Frightful Four and stop the Negative Zone machine, shunting Annihilus back to the Negative Zone. After, Spider-Man thanks the Torch for freeing him and leaves Johnny to call the police to collect the Frightful Four.
