Synopsis for 1st story
Fred goes to a baseball game with the girl he met. As he returns home he retraces the history of the portrait that shows Doctor Doom without a mask: the ruler of Latveria had it done by a famous painter who convinced him to unmask himself while he was portraying him. While the two were talking, Destiny let out a tear at the thought of his mother and when he discovered that the painter had inserted that detail in the painting he killed him, but not having the heart to destroy the painting that he kept in the dungeons of his castle. The painting was stolen during the Kristoff regime and passed into several hands, and now it is in Fred's that he intends to sell it for a staggering sum. Meanwhile, the Owl interrogates the gang to find out about Fred's plans, but the criminals are freed by Tombstone who turns out to be Beetle's father, while Fred, after having diverted Mach-VII's suspicions as he could, is attacked by the Chameleon and his men .
