Trust me, this is how you want it. The other option is we die tragically to show how high the stakes are. But I don't think we have anything to worry about. That usually happens to newer characters the writers didn't grow up with, or legacy characters whose freshness has worn off.
At the risk of encouraging your insanity, what, pray tell is a "legacy character"?
You know. Ones who were created as hipper, edgier versions of previously existing characters, but just end up making fans want the originals back. So, uh... maybe we should go hide.

WAR OF THE REALMS TIE-IN!
• Like the rest of America, the West Coast is overrun with Frost Giants and in CHAOS!
• But Otto Octavius doesn’t settle for chaos and will WIN THE WAR OF REALMS SINGLE-HANDEDLY.
• Well, maybe not single-handedly. He needs minions. Super-minions! So he recruits the WEST COAST AVENGERS!
• Uh-oh.Notes
- In Gwenpool Strikes Back #4, Gwenpool pulls her past self from this issue (along with herself from various other points in time) into her own time to help battle the Immortal Hulk. This issue's Gwenpool's caption box labels her as the calmest Gwen and also says she works out.[1]
