The Invisible Girl was among the Fantastic Four when they confronted Galactus, an encounter that ended in tragedy after the world devourer killed The Thing. Reed fell into despair, and Doctor Doom ended up defeating Galactus by taking over his body. Not long afterwards, Sue left Reed.

Roughly a decade later, Sue had become the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s superhuman division.[2] When The Thing and the Human Torch from the Prime Marvel Universe visited this reality, Sue was informed of their arrival, and personally visited them at the Baxter Building to see it for herself.

When the Heralds of Doom arrived to Earth to announce their master's looming arrival, Sue joined the fight against the invaders. She agreed to put S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources to Reed's disposal when he got back on his feet and set out to stop Doom.[1] Sue coordinated a frontal attack against Doom which was used as a distraction so that Emma Frost could use a machine built by Reed to swap minds with the world devourer. An additional modification allowed Emma to become the Lifebringer, a force of universal restoration instead of destruction.[3]
