Swapna Malhotra was born to Indian immigrants in Denver, Colorado. She was the sister of Raz Malhotra, also known as Giant-Man.
During Hydra's conquest of the United States of America, Hydra forces rounded up the Malhotras on their front yard to force them to pledge allegiance. In light of Mr. Malhotra taking a stand against Hydra, Raz saved his family while under his Giant-Man identity, after having returned home from Miami. Together with Giant-Man, and without knowing he was actually Raz, the rest of the Malhotras joined the Underground.[1]
