History

T'Challa (Earth-21798) from Heroes Reborn Vol 2 5 001

As Ronin

Black Panther's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's. Unlike in most realities, Wakanda was believed to be a myth to the outside world. One day, T'Challa discovered the corpse of a dead Celestial in the Arctic and managed to fashion technology from its remains.

Wanting to know more about the outside world, T'Challa traveled to Washington, D.C. and tried to sneak into the headquarters of the Squadron Supreme beneath the Washington Monument. He was caught by Squadron member Nighthawk, and the two briefly fought each other around the Washington Monument before T'Challa decided to teleport back to Africa. After arriving, he was approached by Blade the Vampire Hunter of Earth-616 and Captain America of Earth-21798 about joining their Avengers in order to restore reality to its proper place.[1]

When the Avengers confronted the Squadron Supreme,[2] T'Challa fought the Blur and was able to keep up with his speed thanks to the technology in his suit. After T'Challa slashed at Blur's leg ligaments so he could no longer run, Blur blew T'Challa away with a whirlwind. T'Challa eventually returned and knocked Blur out. T'Challa then turned his attention toward Hyperion and Nighthawk. Hyperion was knocked out by Captain America, and T'Challa and the other Avengers were about to fight Nighthawk when reality was returned to normal when the source of the reality warp was destroyed, President Coulson's Pandemonium Cube.[3] What became of T'Challa afterward is unrevealed.
