History

Tahiti is an island located in French Polynesia.

High on a bluff overlooking the tropical island paradise of Tahiti, sat the opulent villa of James Johnsmeyer.[1]

Some time later, Yoshihiro Hachiman entered the Temple of Valtorr from Platform Number Five, off Tahiti coast.[2]

Alternate Realities[]

The Humorverse (Earth-9047)[]

On Earth-9047, Cleanex, disciple and lover of Doctor Deranged, finally got sick of him and left his Sanctum Sanitarium for Tahiti, particularly a location called No-Bikini Atoll. She sent him a breaking-off postcard from there.[3]

Marvel Cinematic Universe (Earth-199999)[]

After Phil Coulson died just before the battle of New York and was subsequently resurrected, he was implanted with memories of a recovery on a beautiful beach in Tahiti, replacing the real memories of the procedures that revived him.

These memories were implanted because, after being revived, Coulson had lost "the will to live." Coulson was also implanted with a trigger response which caused him to say "it's a magical place" anytime someone mentioned Tahiti.

In reality, Coulson discovered that his recovery took place in a secret facility called The Guest House as part of Project T.A.H.I.T.I.. After visiting the facility, Coulson was able to overcome the trigger response, now answering that Tahiti "sucked".[4]

When Coulson began dying from his old injury, he lived out the rest of his days in Tahiti with Melinda May.[5]
