Taika Waititi graduated with a bachelor of arts from Victoria University of Wellington in 1997. Waititi married Chelsea Winstanley in 2011.
Professional History
Taika Waititi is a renowned New Zealand filmmaker known for writing and directing films such as Eagle vs Shark (2007), Boy (2010), What We Do in the Shadows (2014) (co-directed with Jemaine Clement), Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016), and Jojo Rabbit (2019).
In 2017, Waititi directed Thor: Ragnarok and also played the character Korg. Waititi reprised the role of Korg in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. On July 20th, 2019, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios announced that Waititi will be writing and directing Thor: Love and Thunder with a planned release date of May 6, 2022.[1]
