Somewhat confusing/contradictory

The article claims that Proto-Adamantium is 'invulnerable' (really should say 'indestructible' for an object) and is what makes up Cap's shield. The alternate name for this is Vibranium, and it states on the Vibranium page (and on the Adamantium page by claiming nothing is harder to break) that Vibranium is not as strong as Adamantium. On top of that, Captain America's shield has been broken at least once (by Thanos wielding the Infinity Gems), so it isn't entirely indestructible. So, is Cap's shield Proto-Adamantium or Vibranium? If they're the same thing, then Vibranium cannot be 'weaker' than Adamantium. Either way, something should be changed in these articles. --Stevehim 15:50, May 26, 2012 (UTC)

Cap's shield is an alloy of both, plus a third mystery component. The adamantium component makes it indestructible and the vibranium component makes it able to absorb most of an impact without transferring much of the impact energy into Cap's arm, and reflect many types of attack back at the attacker, as well as enabling it to retain most of its kinetic energy when it bounces off of a wall, enabling Cap to throw it in those improbable multi-bounce "bank shots" that he does. --Evilsbane (talk) 13:45, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
