There is reference to the Sorcerer Supreme in the second story. On the page it's listed as the Ancient One, but the timing would be off, and he also looks more like Dr. Strange to me (albeit in different garb). The first part of the flashback takes place in 1367, and the second part is 600 years later, where we see Yellow Claw and the Sorcerer Supreme. This would be around when Dr. Strange debuted, and also, the Ancient One would be pretty old by now. In AoA, the sorcerer supreme is still very young. Anyone know any more about this than I do? I propose a change to Doctor Strange.

EDIT: After going back to AoA vol 1, this sorcerer is seen in issue 5 as well, and it shows that this same 'powerful magician' is the one who changed Venus into a free-willed naiad. Here he isn't called the sorcerer supreme, just that he's a 'magician' and a 'master of mystic arts.' This took place a bit earlier, around 1900. He still looks a lot younger than the Ancient One, however. I'm thinking this magician is neither the Ancient One nor Doctor Strange, and just another mystic. They probably just screwed up and called him the sorcerer supreme without realizing that was actually a title.

EDIT: He is again mentioned in AoA vol 1, issue 6 and there is a painting on the wall of the same great magician, connecting the two versions (the one who found Mr. Lao and the one who changed Venus). Again, I don't think this is the Ancient One, unless there is other evidence that the Ancient One was employed by Yellow claw in some other series.
