Appearances

It might be best if just the Amazing Spider-Man comics were listed here. This way just this title itself is on the page and not cluttered with too much information. -- M1shawhan 07:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree. Keep the "Comics ..." pages for an overview of the issues.

Moved the appearances to Spider-Man's appearances page. May need to be edited on that page since it appears to be all "Spider-Man" appearances and not just by Earth-616's Peter Parker. -- M1shawhan 19:05, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

1963-2008?

shouldn't it be 1963-present?

Technically yes. Good catch. The way we have the Volume templates listed it will show the years that cover that volume before it moves to the next. Series like this one, jumped to a volume 2 and then reverted back to volume one afterwards. This caused our template not to work correctly. Looks like another admin already fixed it. --M1shawhan 22:03, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Cid - Cis

Why is every Amazing Spider-Man comic book listed as "cid" and not as "cis"? {{SUBST:User:SaiyanElite/sig8}} 15:09, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

That's way better. Why wasn't this done earlier? {{SUBST:User:SaiyanElite/sig8}} 11:29, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Eps 701-788

Hi, I was calculating the issue numbers correspondances, and it doesn't match.

For the first gap (1999 relaunch), the #442-499 gap is perfectly filled by v2#01-58, so we can say Amazing vol.2 #01 is really Amazing #442, and Amazing vol.2 #58 is really Amazing #499.

But for the second gap, that doesn't work.

After Amazing #700, the series become Superior Spider-Man, which lasts 31 issues. Then there is Amazing v3 (18 issues) and v4 (32 issues). 31+18+32=81 But when we get back to the original numbers, we don't get to #782, we get to #789. Has there been an official communication from Marvel about what were the missing issues. Did they count some Annuals or some .1 issues? (and if so, why some ones and not some others? Because if we add all of it, that make way more than that)

You can see Marvel Legacy's renumbering chart for Amazing Spider-Man here. The crux of the matter is that the renumbering includes Superior Spider-Man #32 and #33, as well as the five issues of Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, which took the place of Amazing Spider-Man during the series hiatus due to 2015's Secret Wars.

Many Issues Removed?

I noticed that a lot of issues, including #1, were removed from the page with this edit: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_1?oldid=5106121

The edit was made by a mod, and follows an edit with notes about script overloading on the page, but I couldn't quite figure out the reasoning from the edit notes. Was this a mistake? Just checking!

Edit: I just noticed that this edit is quite old, and it looks like it replaced a bunch of manual entries with something more automatic. I'm guessing something even more recent broke that automatic inclusion --Daeval (talk) 19:27, June 29, 2020 (UTC)

Its a site bug, Fandom is working on resolving it Copeinator123 (talk) 19:35, June 29, 2020 (UTC)
That makes sense. Thanks! --Daeval (talk) 20:04, June 29, 2020 (UTC)

Script error

I noticed this page has been failing from Script errors for a month (it seemed to be fixed for a short time but soon the error returned).

Error: "The time allocated for running scripts has expired."

I looked at the code but couldn't find anything wrong, seems to be a time out. Is there a way to alert the admins or debug it? I volunteer to trying to fix it, but need some pointers (have some experience with programming, but not familiar with the fandom wiki scripts, willing to learn) Csrgm (talk) 13:12, September 16, 2020 (UTC)
