Yazatas or Daevas?

Do we have any clarification in the Marvel Universe that Atar was a member of the Daevas? I realise that there are some cross-overs between pantheons in ancient mythology but has this been shown in the comics anywhere?HamsterMan 13:51, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's only been glanced over in Marvel's Encyclopedia Mythologica. Mythologically, the Persian gods were known as Yazatas, their most important gods known as Amesha Spentas. Several Vedic gods, as Agni, had roles in both pantheons under other names, (Agni became Atar). It's really hard to tell where Marvel is going with it IF they go any further. This link can tell you more aboyt the Persian gods http://www.angelfire.com/planet/mythguide/yazatas.html Thor2000 16:16, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
