Thought on The Empire[]
The Deviants did have an empire underground as History of the Marvel Universe Vol 2 1 and Avengers Vol 8 26, but as we know and has yet to be uncanonized for millennia the Dragon Kings and Serpent-Men ruled Earth until 500,000 or a pre-Deviant Lemuria shown in Creatures on the Loose Vol 1 27 and Marvel Atlas Vol 1 1.
So it looks like they were largely underground till the end of the Age of Dragons, and at some point took over a large part of Lemuria from the humans and enslaved them. Cause after the Age of Dragons came the Age of Men, which Lemuria became apparently the only continent inhabited by modern man, and where Men rose to supremacy for some time. With King Kull ruling Atlantis around 18,500 BC still being canon, as well as the events before that it's hard to say when the Deviants took over their part of Lemuria. Did they take it over once the Serpent-Men were gone, enslaved the humans in the part they took over or did centuries to millennia's pass? When did the human Kingdom of Lemuria part start occasionally forming an alliance with the Deviants. But we do know (see Human-Deviant Wars) that the Deviants started their takeover of the world after King Kull's death in 18,500 BC, and ended with the Great Cataclysm in 18,000 BC.--ThadMB (talk) 11:14, December 31, 2022 (UTC)
