Tim Rassbach's Now Deleted Fan Site "IronManArmory.com"[]
Interesting tidbit: Tim Rass's Iron Man Armory actually separates this into six (!) models due to the variety of changes. koku 13:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Model 3 and Model 4[]
As it stands, the page for Model 3 describes the armor used from Tales of Suspense #66 to Iron Man #85. However, the 2008 Iron Manual states that Model 4 first appeared in Tales of Suspense #85. There were notable armor changes in both Tales of Suspense #85 and Iron man #85. To make things more complicated, the 2018 Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 variant covers show a Model 4 and a Model 4A, with the Model 4A having a 'nose'. The 2008 Iron Manual has some discrepancies that were changed for the 2018 Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 variant covers (see the Hulkbuster and Modular armors). Is there any other source that clarifies the distinction between Model 3 (and any sub-models) and Model 4 (and any sub-models) and exactly when each of these models were debuted? --FinFangFoomBAF (talk) 05:00, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
