The origin thing keeps coming up so: James was born after Elizabeth came out of her breakdown. Thomas Logan and Dog apparently arrived after he was born.koku 06:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't see where it says that at all. I've looked through the mini-series and it doesn't say how long Thomas Logan worked for the Howletts, but it certainly doesn't say that they arrived after James was born. Elizabeth Howlett was having an affair with Thomas Logan, that much we do know. It was hinted that Dog Logan and Wolverine were one and the same in the first issue. However, once the affair between Elizabeth and Thomas came out and after it was revealed that Wolverine was actually James, it became clear what the intention was. It was no accident that Adam Kubert, the penciler for the mini-series, drew Thomas Logan to look virtually identical to James Howlett as an adult. It was to infer that, as a result of the affair with Elizabeth Howleet, Thomas was James' father. The mini-series never comes straight out and says that Thomas is James' father, but the affair and the uncanny resemblance can't be ignored.Jack Hammer 01:25, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

title of article

article sholud be called Wolverine (James Howlett/Logan) instead of just James Howlett, he is still Wolverine!!!

Please see the discussion on naming conventions. It will soon be moved to the James Howlett page permanently. Regardless, the proper current home for it is Wolverine (James Howlett), not Wolverine (James Howlett/Logan). --Squirrelloid 20:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Squirrelloid, even though his name is considered Logan, that's a nickname ::--User:MutantKingMagneto (UTC)

Possible renaming

I was wondering if this could be renamed similar to Tony Stark and Steve Rogers as I'm not sure James Howlett is very recognisable in terms of SEO. I would argue that James Howlett is more well known as Logan but that is already a separate disambiguation page. I would argue that perhaps "Wolverine (Logan)" could work but I'm open to any other suggestions. --1137a (talk) 18:51, May 19, 2020 (UTC)

In realities where Wolverine's real name is James Howlett, should his name in the relatives infoboxes section be listed as "James Howlett" or "Logan?" I thought James Howlett since that's his real name and Logan is normally treated as more of an alias, as it's uncommon to see "Logan Howlett."--MysteryScooby (talk) 17:45, May 23, 2020 (UTC)

I think either "James Howlett" or simply "Logan" is fine, but Logan and Howlett are both surnames, so "Logan Howlett" is an oxymoron that is likely never seen in canon. -- Annabell (talk) 00:52, May 24, 2020 (UTC)
Since we go by the assumption that the history of an alternate version of a character is the same as their main counterpart unless otherwise is stated, I would argue that Logan would be better to use in a relatives section since "James Howlett" is not as recognisable, unless it is a reality in which he does in fact go by James Howlett. This is why I changed it from James Howlett to Logan for his Earth-807128 relatives and for some of his Earth-616 relatives. I would also argue that any disambiguation pages that say "James Howlett" should also be changed to Logan cause again it's just more recognisable than the former. --1137a (talk) 01:00, May 24, 2020 (UTC)
I vote changing it to Logan, since Logan isn't really an alias so much as what he uses as his "real name" -- Excelsior23 (talk) 02:34, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
