Powers[]

I read that Madame Web passed her powers to Julia, so what are Julia's powers now? -- Mutant God 06:23, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yep, just happened in Amazing Spider-Man #637. My guess is only immortality and the psychic powers, along with what she already had. I wonder will Julia start taking the alias Madame Web now? --Johnnybravo44 17:02, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
She likely will. Julia still has her original powers and now the psionic ones she gained from Madame Web, but she also gained her blindness, too. --Drpryr 23:10, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

Name[]

According to the site Naming Conventions, her last name should be her unmarried last name.— Nathan (Peteparker) (Earth-1218) (talkcontribsemail) 16:00, October 3, 2015 (UTC)

I tend to agree. I think it should be moved to "Julia Cornwall." Edlicious (talk) 15:38, July 24, 2016 (UTC)
The recent Naming Conventions overhaul allows for a much less strict way of naming pages, which means the articles for characters who are better known for names other than their birth name (Jessica Jones, for example) can use said better known name as the title.

Yes, I saw that it had later been changed and changed back. Does that mean then we should move all the "Julia Cornwalls" to "Julia Carpenters"? Edlicious (talk) 21:36, July 24, 2016 (UTC)
Yes.
--The ADour-incible ADour (talk) 21:54, July 24, 2016 (UTC)
It should be moved. In the case of Jessica Jones, her last name was changed when she was adopted. What name a character is "better known" by is subjective, so no exception should be made here. Excelsior23 (talk) 19:03, May 4, 2020 (UTC)
The argument that a better-known name can be subjective is extremely flimsy. Julia Carpenter is the most prevalent surname by which she is listed, as it can be seen in Wikipedia, ComicVine, Marvel.com, and countless merchandise (like action figure packaging (twice), and mini-busts). Furthermore, "Carpenter" is the surname used to distinguish the title of her profile in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Avengers 2005 #1, Marvel Encyclopedia #Spider-Man and Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #1.

Yes, but it's the custom that all women be listed by their maiden names regardless of what they are known by, i.e., Moira Kinross instead of Moira MacTaggart.--Excelsior23 (talk) 16:53, May 5, 2020 (UTC)
First of all, our Naming Conventions are not a custom, they're a set of rules. As I mentioned in this thread you're replying to back in 2016, the Naming Conventions overhaul from March 2016 changed these rules so a character must be listed by their most well-known real name. You brought up a similar argument in Talk:Moira MacTaggert (Earth-616) three days ago and I replied to it that same day. Make sure to keep track of the discussions you take part in.
