HYDRA[]
>Hope Yards Development/Relocation Association was an acronym for Hydra HYDRA is an acronym for Hope Yards ... (well... it isn't.) The term I've seen in cases like this, where someone invents an alternate expression for which something could have been the acronym, is "backronym". (There may be a real, as against neologistic, word for this... :) ) But HYDRA would still be the acronym, not "Hope Yards...". Eschiss1 (talk) 11:39, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
- Good to know. I've changed the expression in the text.

inaccurate stats[]
If you click the link on Kamala’s power grid you can see that it says her strength should be 5 and not 4.
- The preceding unsigned comment was added by Killerboy29912 (talk • contribs).
- The graphic displays her strength rank as 3–5, but the text does say 2–4. This discrepancy means one of the two is wrong. It makes more sense for the graphic to be mistaken, since putting her at rank 3 would mean that Kamala has peak-human strength at base level. That doesn't make sense since Kamala's super-strength is derived from embiggening, and at base level she should have the strength of an average teenage girl, not Captain America.

Kamala's religion[]
i feel like the section regarding Kamala and her relationship with her religion are either overly harsh or outright hostile. on top of the fact that we dont have sections for say, Matt Murdock or Ben Grimm detailing the various religious faux pas with their faiths it seems silly to do so for Kamala, which is on top of the needless addition of saying that she'd be killed for such things. i feel like it presumes a lot on the culture of the muslim countries but also on Kamala and the way the character relates to her faith and the way shes written therein. Moreover being a "light" adherent to faith is not in fact an unusual way for people to to relate to their religion. overall the section feels more like a "gotcha" or a "well actually" regarding Kamala being Mulsim than providing any trivia FinalFighterA+ (talk) 03:06, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- I hadn't noticed this note in the article, I agree that it feels like editorialization to an uncharitable degree, so I have removed it. Thank you for bringing attention to it.
--ADour (talk) 03:34, 23 January 2025 (UTC) - Hi, I'm the guy who put that Triva note in, while I do agree with you that that would be the case in the case of Matt Murdock, Ben Grimm, or most other Superheroes with a confirmed Religion. Islam is a unique exception, as it operates not only as a Religion, but also a Political Ideology, with numerous doctrines governing political affairs, as well many Muslim Countries implementing Sharia Law, which itself governs based on Quranic Teachings, with Polls consistently showing that the majority of Muslims in Western Countries, including the US, wish to have Sharia Law implemented where they now live. Thus Kamala breaking of Quranic Teachings is less akin to a Jewish man working on the Sabbath, and more like Captain America or a Congressman willfully and knowingly violating the US Constitution. That said, I'm not here to cause trouble, and will not be readding anything pertaining to this lest an Agrrement is reached
