While some sites make the assumption that Marvel-shows like this and the upcoming Marvel's New Warriors, will take place in the MCU unless later stated otherwise; I think it would be safer for this site to not assume that, unless of course later stated otherwise. Main reason for it is so we don't make the same mistake we did with the announcement of Legion, where we assumed it would take place on Earth-TRN414, until it was stated otherwise by one of its producers right before the show started airing that it wouldn't.
And I have the heard the argument that it's "planned to be in the MCU because it has Marvel's as part of the official title", but so does the animated shows Marvel's Avengers Assemble and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, so I guess they only argue it would automatically apply to any live-action show that isn't X-Men related.

This project lacks any official confirmation that it is related to the MCU. However, Marvel's New Warriors references the Avengers, and Avengers Tower, both in its synopsis and especially in Speedball's character description, making it, serving as proof of tying it to the larger MCU, until of course proven otherwise.--Shabook (talk) 22:46, May 4, 2017 (UTC)

Jeph Loeb has just confirmed that it does take place in the MCU, but it will for now not cross over into anything major in the universe.
