Canonicity[]
This comic doesn't take place on Earth-616, it makes use of the characters' "New Classics" designs, the same ones featured in licensing artwork. Since it is aimed at middle-grade readers, there's a high chance there will be no body count at the end of the series and it will all return to normal. If that's the case, I think we can shalk it up to Earth-18157, which is a pre-existing middle-grade Marvel Universe that features the characters' "New Classics" designs.
