Split[]

I want to suggest that, for the sake of simplicity, it would be better to split the page in two and make a distinction between the Progenitor as a living being and the Avengers Mountain, which is a structure built around his carcass and not only the Progenitor itself. It would also be better since the Avengers Mountain page would make use of the Location template, with its fields being more suitable now that the Progentior is effectively more-or-less a location.

I don't think the page should be spilt up, cause there are already two pages that reflect the Celestial Progenitor, and the other of his body being used as a base in Avengers Mountain. Which is also built through the Celestial and not just around. Both should have links to each other with Progenitor ending link to Avengers Mountain and Avengers Mountain starting. I agree with Lightning Laxus' second comment below, that Progenitor should be split into two pages. Progenitor (Celestial) (Earth-616) should keep its original page and a new one to cover the Celestial during Judgment Day event, maybe Judgment Day Celestial (Celestial) (Earth-616) or something. Both Progenitor and Avengers Mountain pages should each make mention of Judgment Day, with a link to this new Celestials pageThadMB (talk) 7:12, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Rename[]

With an entire event dedicated to it, the Progenitor has gotten a lot more prominent. I suggest taking out the parenthesis. From what I can tell, the only reason why it has it in the first place is because of the Progenitor race. If it becomes too confusing, I suggest moving that page to "Progenitors (Race)," though I'm not sure if that is necessary given that the name is plural. Update: A.X.E.: Eternals #1 made it unambiguously clear that the Judgment Day Progenitor is different from the previous Progenitor. Given that the new Progenitor is "born" and "dies" within the confines of the Judgment Day event, this page could be split into "Progenitor (Original)" and "Progenitor (Judgment Day)." Agree with the second comment. The original Progenitor didn't come back, they only used it's body to create a new Celestial and was stated many times that it was a new Celestial. I don't believe they actually gave it a new name though, so I agree to splitting the page, but maybe keep the original Progenitor (Celestial) (Earth-616) and new one to Judgment Day Celestial (Celestial) (Earth-616). Or something like that?ThadMB (talk) 3:46, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
I agree that "Progenitors" (for the alien race of that name) is sufficiently distinct from the individuals known by the singular form "Progenitor" that the "(Celestial)" component is unnecessary and could be removed. I also agree that the Progenitor who only existed throughout the Judgment Day event was a completely different entity (except for its body) from the Progenitor who died 4 billion years ago, and that they should be treated as two separate characters. With the addition of the one from the Heroes Reborn 2021 storyline, that would give us three Celestials, each of whom was known as as the Progenitor. Would naming them Progenitor (Earth-616), Progenitor (Earth-TRN852) and Progenitor (Judgment Day) (Earth-616) be correct?
Out of curiosity, is there any precedent for naming a new character who was created from the body of a deceased character and was then known by the same name as that dead character? DonACampbell (talk) 20:49, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Broadly speking, Black Widow comes to mind. Or not. -- Lucien61 (talk) 09:48, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
It could be the same with just its mind having been tempered with, similar to Bruce Banner and the Hulks personalities who can still be alive while Banner is dead, or die later on. HipperMario (talk) 17:16, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
