I'll admit to being a little confused...[]
First off, I thought I remembered from the original Marvel Premiere issues with Scott's origin that his wife had died, not divorced him. Then, much later in the Avengers' issues just prior to Disassembled, she shows up and demands full custody and gets it due to the judge not liking superheroes, even though she's been part of that world for years at that point. Even if my recall of her original fate was wrong, I still found it curious that her prior lack of presence for some time was never brought up in the hearing. When Scott left prison, Cassie was being raised by an aunt and uncle, and Cassie had serious medical issues, yet no sign of her mother. I admit I wasn't fond of that run in Avengers for several reasons, but is there some missing info that explains all this better, from issues I just didn't catch? How did Scott come back? As far as I can tell, he somehow became a living temporal paradox. Is that accurate?

- When Iron Lad took the Scarlet Witch and the Young Avengers back in time to the moment of Scott's death, Cassie pulled him right before they returned to the present.
