In X-Force #1, Cable goes out of his way to tell Cannonball that, contrary to popular belief, Tyler is not his biological son. "Ah... That. A slight misconception, born of your friend Rictor's naivete. His name was Tyler. He was like a son to me, not my flesh and blood. Part of my soul, maybe... But not my body." Make of that what you will. Plenty of retcons since then, and Cable was actively keeping secrets from Sam (and the rest of the team) at the time. But it seems odd that he'd say that if it wasn't true. RJForklift (talk) 21:48, June 25, 2016 (UTC)

In X-Force #25, though, he calls Tyler his son and, when Sam mentioned X-Force #1's conversation, Cable says, "I lied about Tyler to keep myself emotionally distant from you, Sam." Monolith616 (talk) 04:56, June 26, 2016 (UTC)

Stryfe's son

Has this ever been confirmed? Last I recall, this was nothing more than a rumor passing around among fans after Cable made a point of calling Tyler "Jenskot's son" instead of "our son" on one or more occasion. Unless it's been explicitly detailed in a Handbook sometime after the fact, I think the references need to go. Monolith616 (talk) 20:30, April 13, 2015 (UTC)
