So his name is finally confirmed! But did he actually die? At first I thought so, but he did get away. And the X-Men only considered him M.I.A. (while when Ariel "could have" survived, Emma and Wolverine both confirmed her death) However, they were there. Anyway, I brought this up because they dont seem to think so.. --Johnnybravo44 16:42, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

As far as I'm concerned, he's dead until he's seen again. It's a comic death. There's always a loophole. We definitely saw him dying, but maybe he teleported to wherever Elixir's been hiding.

Fair enough. :) --Johnnybravo44 19:38, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
"Telford Porter"?!?!? Good lord that's a terrible name. Please tell me he legally changed it to that when he was 17 because he thought it was funny. I shudder to think that parents exist (even fictional ones) who would not only name their 'Telford', but also not give any thought to the fact that he could be called 'Little Tele-Porter'.
Poor dude's dead for now. Let's see if I can dig up some ol' timey pictures of him in his honor. :)

Sweet dude! You should put in some new pics of him in X-Force too! --Johnnybravo44 19:50, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
I suppose with parents like that, it's no wonder he turned to a life of crime... ;)--edkaufman 21:57, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
Could be worse. I mean, c'mon, kid's got a name like von Doom and you expect things to end well?
--GrnMarvl14 23:16, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
Name UNKNOWN!?!? Come ON Marvel, give us a break! --Johnnybravo44 (talk) 03:38, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
They're just messing with us. Next thing you know they're gonna call him Vandal Fisher or Discord Placement... or John Smith. We should probably start a betting pool. ;)--edkaufman (talk) 07:59, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, I even clarified the issue with the handbook writers. They said that 'Telford Porter' has been revealed and de-revealed as Vanisher's real name several times over the past 40 years, and that Marvel Editorial told them it had officially been de-revealed for this latest update.

My moneys on John Doe ;) --Johnnybravo44 (talk) 16:40, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
I'm just glad he finally got a profile so this COULD be clarified. And at least now we have a more trustworthy source. Even if it HAS resulted in him losing his name again.
--GrnMarvl14 19:24, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
maybe we shoud start a petition. "Equal rights for all heroes" or something along those lines. "no more game without a name!" "bring the porter home!" "all we are saying is give vanisher a chance!"--edkaufman (talk) 22:19, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Equal rights indeed. Just focusing on X-Men realted: Vanisher, Mesmero, Marrow, Callisto, Caliban and every other Morlock ever, Forge, Domino, Daken, and frickin' Rogue, etc.. --Johnnybravo44 (talk) 19:01, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
