History

Talos was created by The Professor as a contingency plan in the instance that if the Weapon X subjects regained their memories, Talos would reset them back to their original programming.

While Wolverine and other Weapon X test subjects, with assistance from Beast, searched for information about their origins in a Weapon X facility, they came across a secret room which activated a video message from The Professor detailing Talos' purpose. Talos was then activated and engaged the mutants in battle. The fight ended when Wolverine tore off a panel on Talos' back, giving Maverick the opportunity to throw a thermal grenade into the android's exposed wiring, destroying it.

Notes

• Due to network censorship, Shiva the robot's name was changed to Talos.

Trivia

• Talos is the name of a character from Greek mythology. Talos was a giant automaton (robot) created by the god Hephaestus. Talos was made of bronze, and protected Crete from pirates and invaders. He circled the island's shores three times daily.
