History

Tamara was a young thief who got rescued from jail by Black Fox due to her good reputation. Alongside Felicia Hardy, she was then taught by the Black Fox in the arts of thievery, but, despite being better than Felicia at everything, Black Fox still favored Felicia. When she asked Fox about it, he told her the secret was that she faced everything, even crime, with joy, while Tamara was only at it for the money.

Young Tamara

Later, while discussing their different approaches to life with Felicia, Tamara surprised her with a kiss, and the two became romantically involved.

Years in the future, while trying to spend the night with her then-boyfriend Spider-Man, Black Cat saw that the carafe he had given her had gone missing. After a lengthy search, Black Cat finally confronted the thief only to realize it was Tamara. After this, Tamara joined Felicia and Spider-Man at Felicia's apartment for the evening.

When Tamara heard of Black Fox's death, she swore to avenge him no matter what. After finding out Felicia was the one who'd killed him, she was heartbroken, but it didn't change her mind, as she embarked on a journey to kill her using the stolen Iron Cat Armor. When the Sunset Bain A.I. she had enlisted to help her turned on her, however, Tamara was forced to work alongside Felicia and Tony Stark to stop her plans of world domination.

In the end, she patched things up with Felicia, as she realized Felicia had been left with no choice but to kill their mentor. Amidst the chaos of the final confrontation with Sunset Bain, Tamara escaped and contacted Ceres Goldstein to help her fix the damaged Armor.

Notes

• In Black Cat #10, Tamara and Felicia are shown holding hands, with Felicia's inner dialogue suggesting that they had a romantic relationship. This is first confirmed in Black Cat (Vol. 2) #3, where Tamara is shown among Felicia's former lovers.
