History

Ted Richards was Nathaniel Richards' older brother. He was a colorful and eccentric man, well loved by his nephew Reed, who once had to appear before the House Un-American Activities Committee during the 1950s on suspicion of being a communist, he spent 6 months being held in contempt of congress for telling them to 'go to hell' and when he was released his career and life were over which ultimately killed him.
