General Ross shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counter-part until the detonation of the Gamma Bomb. After Bruce Banner saved the life of Rick Jones, the gamma radiation did not turn Bruce into the Hulk but instead gave him perfect health. Banner spent the next several years developing more gamma bombs that were used by the military with Banner slowly wondering if he was doing the right thing. After the death of Betty Ross due to Gamma poisoning, Bruce went rogue, and General Ross attempted to capture him, but Bruce was killed by an unnamed government agent.[1]
