Red Hulk was the leader of Thunderbolts. When S.H.I.E.L.D. assembled a strike team of Avengers to take down a Super Secret A.I.M. Base of Operations, Deadpool informed his other teams, the Thunderbolts, who also showed up at the scene along with X-Force and Secret Avengers. The A.I.M. base turned out to be empty, as the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier was left unguarded due to the numerous presence of spec ops teams in the A.I.M. base, allowing A.I.M. to take it over.[1]
