History

Thanos shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart when he was imprisoned in an amber cube and hidden in Necropolis by the the Illuminati. He was discovered by Rocket Raccoon who informed Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy travelled to Earth. After a short battle with the Illuminati, Thanos was freed and asked Quill what would make this battle any different and Star-Lord revealed he had assembled the Galactic Council and other powerful cosmic beings. Thanos was defeated and seemingly killed by the group.
