History
Poison Thanos was the second-in-command of the Hive[1] and possibly the only Poison originated from the Poisons native reality.[2] The true leader was the Queen, who he believed to be his mistress Death.[3]
Seeking to please her, he led an attempt to invade and assimilate the residents of the Prime Marvel Universe via the use of Kid Kaiju's monster-summoning abilities.[4] This ultimately proved unsuccessful.[5]
A stronger attempt was later held using the Symbiotes of the planet Klyntar to bond to the universe's heroes, allowing for easier assimilation. Poison Thanos watched this invasion from afar, with Poison Doctor Doom acting as his right-hand man.[3]
Both Poisons worked to ensure 'anomalies' native to the Prime Marvel Universe like Carnage[3] and Kid Kaiju[6] were assimilated.
They were first successful with Carnage, forcibly bonding him to a new symbiote and having him assimilated, having him become Poison Carnage.[7]
As part of the Hive's final attack on the heroes of Earth, Poison Thanos was dispatched to assimilate Kid Kaiju, destroying his Quinjet before coming up against the monsters Scragg, Slizzik, Hi-Vo, Mekara, and Aegis.[8]
He was overwhelmed by the monsters and then died along with the other Poisons when the time-displaced Jean Grey freed herself from her Poisoned form and killed their Queen.[9]See Also
