Synopsis

Peter Parker sees a newspaper headline claiming that Spider-Man has gone bad. He sets out to uncover who has framed him and to clear his good name, along the way he encounters various superheroes who offer their support, confirming that they knew he could never become a villain.

Notes

The game's box cover uses an image of Spider-Man from the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #362 while Carnage is from the first page of Amazing Spider-Man #361. Both images were originally drawn by Mark Bagley and are flipped for the box cover.
The cutscene depicting Captain America, Wolverine, Human Torch, and Daredevil letting Spider-Man go after Mysterio is a lifted from the Spider-Man variant cover of Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21.^[2]
