Synopsis
The Underground plans on breaking Polaris and Reed out of jail before they're transferred to an even more secure facility. Most of the Underground's members thinks it's too dangerous - especially since they lost several people the last time they attacked a Sentinel Services' relocation center - but Blink, Dreamer, Trader and Caitlin volunteer to help Eclipse and Thunderbird break them out. Caitlin comes up with a plan to attack when the Sentinel Services move Polaris and Reed to the plane that will take them to the new facility. Andy and Lauren also ask to help when they figure out a way to destroy the bus's tires by using their powers together. Eclipse reaches out to his contacts in the Cartel for information about the convoy, but runs into trouble when the head of the Cartel turns out to be an ex-girlfriend. Carmen makes Eclipse torture a thief with his powers in exchange for the information he wants.
The convoy leaves with Reed and Polaris the next morning. The bus stops later than they planned when Andy has trouble using his powers on a moving target. Agent Turner immediately suspects mutants are behind the accident and moves his agents into defensive positions. The Underground hurries up with their plan, but are caught off guard when none of their powers seem to work. Eclipse gets into a shootout with the Sentinel Services despite this. Thunderbird recognizes one of the Sentinel Service's agents as Pulse, a former member of the Mutant Underground with the ability to shut down any system in a large area who was thought to have been killed during their last attack on a mutant relocation center. Thunderbird ambushes Pulse, and knocks him out to restore their powers. Thunderbird notices Pulse has a strange tattoo on the inside of his wrist.
Inside the bus, meanwhile, Reed and Polaris take advantage of the confusion to attack the guards. When her powers return to her, Polaris rips out the metal screw in Reed's leg and uses it to free them and take out the remaining guard. She the rips the door off the back of the bus, freeing both of them just as Thunderbird tries to persuade Eclipse into aborting the mission. As Eclipse and Polaris embrace each other, Caitlin drives up in a getaway car, and they escape. Agent Turner, enraged by the prisoner's escape orders his partner to shut down the entire area so he can get all of them.
