Synopsis
Reeva Payge and the Frost sisters kill the other members of the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle when they shoot down her plan for a "Mutant homeland," giving Reeva complete control over the Hellfire Club. Six months later, the Hellfire Club prepares for Lorna to give birth to her and Marcos' baby. Lorna's contractions cause her to violently lose control over her mutant powers, so the Hellfire Club converts a nearby chemical plant into a hospital room for her to safely give birth.
Marcos, John, Clarice, the Struckers, and their group within the Underground have relocated to Washington, D.C. since the fall of their headquarters in Atlanta. The Underground help mutants escape from the Sentinel Services when they raid the nearby Liberty Park apartment complex. Cristina, one of the mutants they rescued, was separated from her younger sister and her parents were killed during the raid. John promises her they will reunite her with her sister, but they later find she was picked up by an unknown group without a struggle.
Lauren, meanwhile, has a vivid dream of reuniting with Andy in a parking deck not far from the Capitol Building, which she takes to mean Andy and the Hellfire Club might not be so far away. Caitlin goes with Marcos to meet with a criminal hacker who could help them find the Hellfire Club. The hacker, Wire, tries to extort more money out of the Underground before he tells them what he discovered. Caitlin takes Wire's gun from his hand and turns it on him, forcing him to tell them what he knows. One of Wire's goons tries to protect his boss, but the bullet only grazes Caitlin's side. Wire backs down, and tells them everything he knows about the Hellfire Club's secret financial dealings. He cannot, however, tell them how to find the Hellfire Club, and warns them that everyone who goes after them "disappears."
Lorna starts to give birth. Her powers go haywire, affecting the entire city. Marcos quickly realizes Lorna is behind the power surges, and Caitlin puts together that she must be having the baby. The Underground hurries off to find her and make sure she is okay, with John trying to follow her power through the city's power lines. Lorna's doctor informs Reeva Payge that Lorna has a mental block that is not only complicating the birth but also threatening her life. The Frost sisters give Lorna a vision of herself and her daughter on the day Reeva takes over the American government to get her over her mental block. With one last push, the power goes out across the city. Marcos breaks down as he realizes he can no longer find Lorna and their child, and does not know if the power outage means they are safe. Meanwhile, Lorna holds her daughter, Dawn.Cast
